PEFA PHASE VI PROGRAM STARTED JUNE 1, 2023, FOLLOWING MDTF LAUNCH DURING SPRING MEETINGS
The PEFA program Phase VI commenced on June 1, 2023 and will cover the period 2023-2028. The Multi Donor Trust Fund was launched on April 13, 2023, during the WB-IMF Spring Meetings 2023.
The PEFA partner delegations including Mr. Luc Bagur, Director Sustainable Development Policy and Cooperation from European Commission; Mr. Rémy Rioux, Director General of AFD, France; Mr. Bård Vegar Solhjell, Director General of NORAD, Norway; Mr. Martin Polónyi, Director General, Ministry of Finance, Slovak Republic; Mr. Dominique Paravicini, Head of Economic Development Cooperation, SECO, Switzerland; Ms. Carolina Renteria Rodriguez, IMF; Pablo Saavedra, Vice President and Arturo Herrera, Global Director, World Bank participated in the meeting, which was also attended by 50 officials and PEFA Secretariat staff.
PEFA MDTF Phase VI (2023-2028) partners include European Commission, France, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovak Republic and Switzerland.
The Program will continue the current PEFA activities and is envisaging new initiatives, which will help the program’s further development, wider coverage, enhanced PFM knowledge and guidance for governments and better communication with clients.
