The PEFA Secretariat is pleased to announce the launch of the 2022 Global Report on Public Financial Management through webinar on “Crisis Budgeting: PFM during difficult times and beyond” on 29 June 2022 at 8:30am Washington, D.C. time.
Watch the video invitation to attend the event by the Head of PEFA Secretariat, Srinivas Gurazada:
The target audience are Government officials, Policymakers, Economists, Public Sector Accounting experts, Supreme Audit Institutions, internal auditors in government, Public Procurement practitioners, development partners, academics and other practitioners working on PFM.
The Global Report on PFM highlights key developments in PFM over time and across countries. The analysis presented in this current publication is based on the data from 607 national and subnational PEFA assessments published between 2005 and 2021. Considering the significant challenges that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is creating for PFM performance, the 2022 publication of the Global Report includes a featured overview of crisis budgeting tools and trends. It also presents three case studies that demonstrate how PEFA assessment findings can be used to give insights into the readiness of PFM systems to respond to crises: Colombia, Mongolia, and Seychelles.
