PEFA Secretariat congratulates and welcomes Srinivas Gurazada (Srini) on his competitive selection and appointment as the new Head of the Secretariat.

Srini, an Indian national, worked in the Africa region as well as Global unit of the World Bank prior to his selection as Head of PEFA Secretariat. He is the Global Lead for Public Financial Management at the World Bank.  He has over 25 years’ experience in Public Financial Management and Public administration generally.  Prior to joining the Bank, Srini worked as Accountant General in Government of India and Advisor to Minister in Sultanate of Oman. 

In his new position as Head of PEFA Secretariat, Srini will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the PEFA Secretariat, program activities and resources, and serve as a resource person and main adviser to PEFA partners about the oversight and management of the PEFA framework. His top priorities are to: (i) lead the technical engagement and implementation of the PEFA Program; (ii) lead the PEFA Secretariat to contribute to PFM reforms in client countries through various value-adding activities; (iii) contribute to the development of a long-term strategic vision for the PEFA initiative beyond the current (phase V) program; and (iv) enhance alignment of PEFA outcomes to SDGs and service delivery.
