Introduction
The Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) and the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS) are internationally recognized assessment frameworks that evaluate the public financial management and procurement systems of any country.
Public procurement and public financial management are central to delivering goods and services to citizens and allowing governments to achieve their public policy goals. As one of the largest categories of governments’ spending, public procurement should be mainstreamed and well-integrated with the public financial management system.
What’s on the agenda?
This joint webinar is an opportunity to learn how the two tools work together and discuss the country case of Zambia where both assessments were instrumental to carry out important reforms. Participants gained a practical understanding of the links between the two methodologies and acquire evidence of their usefulness for improving the public financial management and procurement systems.

Introduction
Les programme d'examen des dépenses publiques et d'évaluation de la responsabilité financière (PEFA) et la méthodologie d' évaluation des systèmes de passation des marchés (MAPS) sont des cadres d'évaluation internationalement reconnus qui évaluent les systèmes de gestion des finances publiques et de passation des marchés de tout pays.
Les marchés publics et la gestion des finances publiques sont essentiels pour fournir des biens et des services aux citoyens et permettre aux gouvernements d'atteindre leurs objectifs de politique publique. En tant que l'une des plus grandes catégories de dépenses des gouvernements, les marchés publics devraient être intégrés et bien intégrés au système de gestion des finances publiques.
Qu'y a-t-il au programme?
Ce webinaire sera l'occasion d'apprendre comment les deux outils fonctionnent ensemble et de discuter du cas de la Zambie, où les deux évaluations ont joué un rôle déterminant dans la mise en œuvre d'importantes réformes.
