On October 22 and 23 PEFA Secretariat conducted a two-day training event in Washington DC. The event was in English Language and was designed to present to the development partners and other PEFA stakeholders the process of planning, managing and undertaking a PEFA assessment and using PEFA to support PFM improvement. Representatives of the MCC, US Treasury, IADB, World Bank, government officials and independent consultants attended the event. The presentations led to interesting questions related to treatment of tax expenditures, transfer pricing and SOEs in francophone jurisdictions. There was a great interest in the discussions on the impact of PFM performance on the three budgetary outcomes.
