First PEFA Open Forum held in Miami

The objective of the first PEFA Open Forum was for the PEFA Program to open a discussion about its achievements - as highlighted in the external evaluation conducted in 2011 - and latest developments, and more importantly, to launch the Phase 4 and discuss the strategic orientations of the Program with PEFA clients and practitioners. It represented the first step in the institutionalization of the broader PEFA outreach to its stakeholders.

The PEFA content of the ICGFM Conference started with a reception after the first day of the ICGFM Conference (Monday 30^th April). Thursday 3^rd May constituted the PEFA Open Forum proper, a full day of presentations and discussions. Friday 4^th May offered a half day of PEFA assessment portal demo and a basic training session to all participants. For the detailed program please click here

Approximately 220 participants registered for the PEFA days and 120 participants attended the training session on the last day. Participants represented about 40 countries worldwide, and comprised mostly government PFM practitioners. The Open Forum allowed the PEFA Program to showcase recent new developments and new feature of the 4^th phase starting in July 2012.
